From vision to action

Training the next generation of Evangelists

What is a CA Evangelist?

Over the last 140 years, training has been a core part of Church Army’s mission for taking hope into some of the most unreachable parts of the UK and Ireland. We train men and women who have a calling to step into an evangelistic vocation to do so in both words and action.

Why evangelism?

The word “evangelism” comes from two Greek words: euaggelion meaning a good message (also known as gospel), and euaggelizo which means to bring this good news. Both of these things are at the heart of what CA bring to people.

DARE

Our aim is simple; to bring hope without limits to those members of our society who need it most. That hope comes in words as we share the Good News of Jesus, and actions as we show Jesus’ love by engaging in the social issues that affect some of society’s most vulnerable children and adults.

We do this through a strategy we call DARE:

Doing evangelism

Bringing people to a living faith in Jesus Christ throughout these islands is at the heart of Church Army.

advocating evangelism

We are passionate about encouraging the wider Church to become more actively involved in evangelism.

resourcing evangelism

We train people and put the right tools in their hands so that they are resourced to do what God has called them to do.

enabling evangelism

We enable people to do evangelism in their own context by creating opportunities for them to join in with what God is already doing.
